Our traditional flutter or attention flags offer a range of sizes and shapes, and design options including solid colors, stripes, panels, messages and full custom flags. These flags are designed to go on our fiberglass telescoping poles, and are best used in semi-permanent installations. In addition to the standard pole sleeve, these attention flags can be finished with canvas header and grommets to be flown on a traditional flag pole.

One-sided or Two-sided
Two-sided Flutter and Feather Flags are the best option when you have a message on the banner.
One-sided printed banners will show text backwards on one side which may not be desired.
One-sided printing works well for single large words that can be understood when viewed backwards. One-sided works well for images and patterns.
If messages, logos or words should not be displayed backwards, then a two-sided banner will be the right choice.

Our advertising flag kits are durable and made for outdoor use, but we highly recommend taking them inside during high winds or severe weather to protect your items from being damaged.
Common Questions about Feather and Flutter Flags
The term “Feather Flag” is what we coined our advertising flags due to the shape. Some placed will call them “feather banners,” “swooper flags,” or “flag banners.” All of these names are interchangeable.
To distinguish between the different types of custom flags that we sell, we’ve named them after their shapes. Our most popular custom flag banners include feather flags, rectangle flags and tear drop flags. All of our flags are suited for indoor and outdoor use.
We use a durable, lightweight 4 oz. (110gm) polyester for our custom feather and flutter flags. This material has proven to be ideal for outdoor use. A slight wind will cause these flags to flutter and gently wave. The motion earns as much attention as the graphics you put on them.
With proper care and storage of your feather flag, the banner will easily last 3 or more years. Long term sun exposure, road wash and salt or other harsh weather will result in diminished vibrance and lower image quality. For flags left outside daily in sunlight and the elements, you can expect to see fading and reduced image quality within a year depending on positioning and the specific exposure.
In short: Yes. But the images have a long life looking their best before they start to slowly lose a little luster. Long term exposure to sunlight will fade most printed banners over time, but, it requires a lot of exposure to direct sunlight before any noticeable degradation can be seen. In most cases, our advertising flags are selected for their portability and don’t sit in the direct sun for 8 to 10 hours a day.
Very strong winds can blow a banner off of it’s pole. For most flag kits, this is extremely rare. We encourage tie-down posts for any kind of flutter or feather flag.
